Two More Library Planning meetings, March 27 at 6 PM and March 31 at 1PM

Two more meetings announced to plan for the Library.   At least these are available for people to attend who go to school or work.  however, we just found out about them today so the notice is still far too short.  But, if you can go, please go share your thoughts.

Tuesday, March 27 , 6:00 PM
Saturday, March 31, 1:00 PM

We encourage anyone who can attend to please do so.

Please:
a.     Ask them to develop a strategic plan to re-open the East Valley Branch library before the end of 2018.
b.   Ask them for a robust level of programming for Spanish-speaking residents, kids, and families.
c.      Ask for programs and resources to help people find jobs and to prepare for them.
d.      Ask for a plan to create an independent library district to ensure the library is controlled by the public, for the public.

Esco Library Planning Session TUESDAY, MARCH 13, 9:30 AM

Part of the LS&S contract requires development of a ‘new’ strategic plan. With only four days notice, they have set a meeting for this Tuesday at 9:30 am.  This is unfortunate since many (most?) users of the library work or are in school at this time.  Please ask them to hold another session, with at least 2 weeks notice so people can arrange their schedules, for a meeting in the evening so that working people and school-age youth can attend and participate.
